Anti-Idling Citizen Action -  Monday, May 11, 2009, in NYC, Midtown West.

 

Citizens take to the streets to stop engine idling in their neighborhood


What: School playground rally followed by street intervention. Politicians, community groups, concerned citizens and school children are mobilizing to stop unnecessary engine idling by black cars in midtown west where it is and has been out-of-control.

 
When: This Monday, 5.11.09, at 3 PM

 
Where: PS 111 playground, 52nd street between 9th and 10th avenue.

 
Why is this important?

 
1) The new one-minute NYC school zone law goes into effect Monday on 5/11/09.
